  • Una questione urbanistica recente per la nuova città che sta nascendo:
We build new malls district with streetbike and green park. Many buildings got frontline with cool massive pedestrian frequentation, but backside buidings aren’t pedestrian friendly. What can we do?

Well there are quite a few things to look at in terms of getting more pedestrian traffic. Are the roads well connected? How are the buildings situated on the site? Do the buildings, themselves help to define the space? Do you have any “anchor stores” located on these streets? Is there still an element of mixed-use to your districts? Look, perhaps at the Mashpee Commons in Massachusetts, or New York City’s Theater district. NYC’s Broadway Theater District has a focus to the use of the area, but still has everyday uses worked into the fabric. I hope that helps.
